FENESTRA WINERY HOLDS "SOUPER BOWL –16th ANNUAL SOUP AND WINE WEEKEND”

Fran and Lanny Replogle of Fenestra Winery invite the public to enjoy a weekend of special soups, breads and Fenestra wines, Saturday and Sunday, January 26 & 27, 2008, from noon to 5:00 PM, at their own “Souper Bowl”—the 16th Annual Soup and Wine Weekend. This event will be held at Fenestra Winery, 83 Vallecitos Road (formerly Highway 84), Livermore.

Want to start 2008 on a healthy note? Yearning to return to a simpler life--less rich food, less expensive meals, fewer calories? Get back to basics, and get inspired at Fenestra Winery--with a new look at making delicious, nourishing soups (made with Fenestra wine, of course) and breads. Gimanelli’s and guest chefs present a variety of memorable soups including Warren’s Chili, Five Onion Soup, Clam Chowder and Vegetable Minestrone. It is Fenestra’s own “SOUPER BOWL!”


The public is invited to sample the soups and breads, taste the award winning wines of Fenestra, and enjoy an afternoon in the historic winery building. The $10.00 event charge includes a logo wineglass and plate. Event charge for children ages 5-12 is $5.00, ages 13-20 is $10.00 (includes plate and non-alcoholic beverage). There is no charge for children under 5 years old.

Established in 1976, Fenestra Winery has long been known for its wide array of award winning wines and its gracious hospitality. In 2007, Fenestra wines won more than 80 medals and awards.

Fenestra Winery is located six miles east of the Livermore 84 exit off Interstate 680. Turn right onto Vallecitos Rd at the second stoplight, go about ¼ mile, winery is on the left. From Interstate 580, take the Airway Blvd. Exit and go south following the Hwy 84 signs to the Isabel/Vallecitos light. Turn left –winery is about ¼ mile on the left. The winery is open for tasting and sales every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5:00 PM.
