Fran and Lanny Replogle of Fenestra Winery invite the public “come help us celebrate 30 years of winemaking--our 30th ‘VINIVERSARY’.” Join us in looking back with nostalgia, and forward with our 30th crush. The 30th “Viniversary” Celebration will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and October 1, 2006 from noon to 5:00 PM. This event will be held at Fenestra Winery, 83 Vallecitos Road (Hwy 84), Livermore. There is no charge for this event.

Winemaker and owner Dr. Lanny Replogle is proud to introduce Fenestra’s new releases: 2005 Chardonnay (grapes from Bud Greist’s vineyard), 2005 Semonnay (62% Chardonnay/38% Semillon), 2004 Malbec and 2003 Pinot Noir. “I am really excited about all these wines. The Malbec has won Best of Class, Lodi appellations, at the Caifornia State Fair and 2 Gold medals, the Semonnay has won six medals, and the Pinot Noir has won 5 medals.”

Owner Fran Replogle says “ We’ll have lots of photos, some videos from the past, and our wonderful Fenestra wines to taste. Bring your memories, photos and stories. There will be sampling of DeCio roasted vegetable pastas and “Just Tomato” products. Enjoy the charm of our renovated turn of the century winery building (now 117 years old), and the lovely green lawns, with lots of tables for picnicking” All Fenestra wines currently released (and the new releases) will be available for tasting.

Fall is an exciting time to come to the winery. The crush has already started, and the grapes look to be of high quality. There should be many new wines fermenting and aging. Dr. Replogle notes that “I can’t promise what the crush will be like the weekend of our 30th Viniversary, but I am sure that you will enjoy it”.

Directions to Fenestra Winery: During the Vallecitos Road closure (due to road work), entrance to the winery must be taken via Vallecitos coming from Vineyard Ave. Vallecitos is closed between Vineyard Ave. and Isabel Road during the road work (Aug 18 to Dec. 4). Fenestra Winery is located six miles east of the Livermore 84 exit off Interstate 680. Go 6 miles from 680, detour curve left on Isabel Rd. Turn right at Vineyard ave (1st light), turn right on Vallecitos Road (stop sign) go around barricade-- winery is on right. From 580: take Airway Blvd. Exit to Kittyhawk (stop light). Turn right on Kittyhawk (which becomes Isabel Ave.) and follow out to Vineyard Ave (stoplight). Turn left on Vineyard , turn right at Vallecitos, go around barricade, winery is on right.
